Dear Friend of GATA and Gold:

A report posted today at www.TheMiningWeb.com reminds
us of our wonderful friends at Durban Roodeport Deep,
GATA's first supporters in the mining industry.

The MiningWeb report can be found on the site's home
page, here:

Here is the detailed link, though it may not work for some
of you:

The report documents DRD's dramatic turnaround despite
the terrible gold price. Indeed, DRD's share price has
doubled in the last year.

A photograph of DRD's chief executive, Mark Wellesley-Wood,
presenting his company's latest -- and most dramatic --
contribution to GATA, 30 beautiful new 1-ounce Krugerrands,
at the New Orleans Investment Conference in November has
been posted at the GATA Internet site, here:

That conference, at which GATA Chairman Bill Murphy and
GATA consultants Reg Howe and James Turk spoke, did much
to publicize the U.S. government's role in the gold price
suppression scheme, and the gold price has shown a good
deal more friskiness since then.

GATA distributed the 30 Durban Krugerrands among our
supporters to raise $15,000 for our work. So thanks again
so much, DRD, for your leadership of the gold cause, and
congratulations on your leadership among the gold shares.
