Dear Friend of GATA and Gold:

TheMiningWeb.com has just posted a wonderful
interview with Quinton George, managing director
of Trinity Holdings, a big stakeholder in
Afrikander Lease, whose enormous donation to GATA
was announced today. In the interview, George
elaborates on that donation.

Here's an excerpt from George's comments:

"I think the World Gold Council has now got good
leadership with Chris Thompson, and he is certainly
starting to talk about gold as money, which I think is
positive. So I don't think one needs to see it as a
comparison between the World Gold Council and
GATA. But I think GATA have certainly been the most
courageous and outspoken body of people to talk
about gold as money at a time when most people
didn't believe it, and I think with what we've seen in
the last six to nine months, people are starting to look
at gold as money and as a store of value."

If that link is too long for your browser, just go
to TheMiningWeb.com's home page:

Go to the top left of the page and click on "gold."
The page that opens next should list the story
under the headline, "Interview with Quintin George
on GATA donation." Click on that and you're in.

Thanks again so much to George, the folks at
Afrikander Lease, and to TheMiningWeb.com
for publicizing their donation.
