Market volatility is hiding record accumulation of gold by central banks, Maguire tells LFTV

In this week's edition of Kinesis Money's "Live from the Vault" program, London metals trader Andrew Maguire says China surreptitiously bought hundreds of tonnes of gold with U.S. dollars during the three-month war between the United States and Iran. He adds that market volatility has been concealing record accumulation of the monetary metals by central banks worldwide, purchases also arranged by unloading dollars.

With the trend of gold accumulation continuing, Maguire says, pressure is increasing on the United States to stop defending the dollar against gold and instead allow an upward revaluation.
