King Coenwulf''s gold penny is still worth more than Fed''s paper dollar

Dear Friend of GATA and Gold:

Once again this year GATA will be a big part of
the New Orleans Investment Conference. It will
be held from Wednesday, November 10, through
Sunday, November 14, and we'd like YOU to be
a part of it too.

The central banks and their bullion bank
accomplices are losing control of the gold and
silver markets, and the New Orleans conference
is always a superb place for learning about the
mining companies that will have the gold and
silver when the central banks and bullion banks
run out.

On top of that, the conference will have some
compelling expert speakers -- not only GATA
Chairman Bill Murphy but also former CIA
Director George Tenet; investment fund
managers Jim Rogers, Marc Faber, Frank
Holmes, and David Tice; market analysts and
GATA consultants Frank Veneroso and James
Turk; newsletter editors Bob Bishop and
Brien Lundin; and so many more.

But as much as there's something for you
in the New Orleans conference, there's
something for GATA too. For we hope to
raise money there to support our general
operations and underwrite initiatives that
could make a lot trouble for the bad guys.
(Don't worry -- all those initiatives are
legal, or will be until the Constitution
is suspended.)

The conference again has most generously
offered to make a contribution to GATA for
every GATA supporter who registers. And
this year the conference will conclude with
a GATA fund-raising lunch whose
participants will get to question the GATA
brain trust about gold and silver market

A colorful advertisement for the conference
has been posted at the GATA Internet site

Click on it and you'll be transported quickly
to the conference's Internet site. One
registration for the conference costs $695
until September 30, when the rates go up, and
there are discounts for additional
registrations. Yes, it's not cheap, but a
conference with all these speakers often
provides investment information that enables
participants to recover many times their price
of admission -- and then there's whatever value
you think GATA has given you for the past six
years and will continue to give you in the

When registering for the conference over the
Internet, be sure to look for the "How did you
hear about the conference?" window on the
registration form. Open it and click on "GATA"
and you'll be helping us a lot. Attend our
fund-raising lunch at the conference and
you'll be helping us more.

It's a great conference, a great hotel -- the
New Orleans Sheraton -- a great city, and a
great cause. Come see us there. We'll spread
the word, meet old and new friends, learn
what the financial powers don't want us to
know, and just be glad to be alive with a
chance to change the world.

Here are the details about our lunch at the

It will be held at the conference's conclusion
at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, November 14, 2004,
in the Armstrong Ballroom on the eighth floor
of the New Orleans Sheraton Hotel.

GATA's officers and researchers -- including
Bill Murphy, Chris Powell, Frank Veneroso,
Reginald H. Howe, Michael Bolser, James Turk,
Robert K. Landis, Ed Steer, and Catherine
Austin Fitts -- will attend and take questions
from guests.

Each guest will receive a bound copy of Sprott
Asset Management's August 2004 report
confirming GATA's work, "Not Free or Fair: The
Long-Term Manipulation of the Gold Price."

Admission will be $50, there will be a cash bar,
and reservations are required.

To reserve a place, please contact me by
e-mail at or by U.S.
mail at 7 Villa Louisa Road, Manchester,
CT 06043-7541 USA.
