Max Keiser and Al Jazeera examine rigged U.S. markets

Section: Daily Dispatches

Dear Friend of GATA and Gold:

Market analyst, international provocateur, and Al Jazeera commentator Max Keiser, who in December examined the gold price suppression scheme for Al Jazeera (http://www.gata.org/node/4600), has returned to examine the rigging of the financial markets in the United States, including devices like hedge funds, naked short selling, and the Plunge Protection Team.

Keiser's new report is called "Rigged Markets," and the "People & Power" program of Al Jazeera's English service began broadcasting it this week. The program includes interviews with two GATA consultants -- James Turk, founder of GoldMoney.com and editor of the Freemarket Gold & Money Report, and Rob Kirby of Kirby Analytics -- and GATA board member Catherine Austin Fitts, president of Solari Inc. and former assistant secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

You can watch "Rigged Markets" in two parts, totalling 22 minutes, at Al Jazeera's site here:
