Dear Friend of GATA and Gold:

The Vancouver Gold, Platinum Group Metals, and Diamond Investment Conference opened wonderfully for GATA today as three major speakers mentioned GATA favorably.

Jay Taylor of J. Taylor's Gold & Technology Stocks letter and Peter Grandich of The Grandich Letter discussed and endorsed GATA's work at length in workshop presentations.

And GATA was just about the first thing Doug Casey of the International Speculator letter talked about in his address to the conference. Gold, Casey said, is awfully cheap compared to other metals right now and GATA can explain why -- the hostility of central banks to gold, a form of money that competes with their own.

Grandich noted that GATA has accomplished much without a lot of financial resources and urged donations to the organizations so that it might accomplish more.

We're very grateful to Taylor, Grandich, and Casey for their support.

The conference continues tomorrow with GATA's presentation in the afternoon. Our delegation includes Board of Directors member Ed Steer of Edmonton and our GATA "booth babes" -- Steer's daughter, Kathy Ovington, and your secretary/treasurer's daughter, Stephanie Powell. Thanks so much to them for their work.

CHRIS POWELL, Secretary/Treasurer
Gold Anti-Trust Action Committee Inc.
