Dear Friend of GATA and Gold:

Cambridge House's World Resource Investment Conference in Vancouver is coming up again -- Sunday and Monday, June 15 and 16 -- and among the speakers will be GATA Chairman Bill Murphy, board member Ed Steer, and your secretary/treasurer.

Once again the conference will be held at the Vancouver Exhibition and Convention Centre at Canada Place, and dozens of resource companies will be exhibiting. But if you attend you may have a hard time keeping yourself from going outside on the adjacent cruise ship pier just to enjoy the spectacular view of Coal Harbor, Stanley Park, the Lions Gate Bridge, and the snowy mountains beyond, for there aren't too many places more beautiful than Vancouver in June ... or even in chilly and drizzly January, for that matter.

Admission to the conference is free if you register in advance, and the conference has arranged a discounted rate for rooms at the magnificent hotel adjacent to the convention center, the Pan Pacific.

GATA will hold a reception at the conclusion of the conference -- from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 16, in the Cypress Suite at the Pan Pacific. There will be great views there too, a cash bar, and free snacks -- the latter if you arrive before Murphy, Steer, and your secretary/treasurer. We're hoping to see old friends and make new ones.
