Dear Friend of GATA and Gold:

While the number of exhibiting companies was down, the Vancouver Resource Investment Conference was mobbed as it opened Sunday, with standing room only for several presentations, including those of GATA, Frank Holmes of U.S. Global Investors, and John Embry of Sprott Asset Management.

As the first day's proceedings concluded, the conference sponsor, Cambridge House, graciously held a reception in honor of GATA's 10th anniversary, which was hosted by Cambridge House President Joe Martin. GATA was further honored at a dinner sponsored by Al Korelin of the Korelin Economic Report, Exeter Resource Corp., and Timmins Gold Corp.

Monday brings a second presentation by GATA and some interviews before the conference concludes at 7 p.m.

GATA's "booth babes" -- Kathleen Ovington, daughter of GATA board member Ed Steer, and Stephanie Powell, daughter of your secretary/treasurer -- have been selling T-shirts emblazoned with the imagine of the painting "GATA" by Alain Despert. They also have been distributing flyers of GATA consultant James Turk's essay exposing the Federal Reserve's blueprint for surreptitious rigging of the currency and commodity markets (http://www.gata.org/node/7096).

We hope to make the T-shirts available for general sale via the Internet soon.

CHRIS POWELL, Secretary/Treasurer
Gold Anti-Trust Action Committee Inc.
