Glenn Beck show reschedules Liberty Dollar founder to Friday

Section: Daily Dispatches

3p ET Wednesday, March 4, 2009

Dear Friend of GATA and Gold:

The Glenn Beck program on Fox News, which originally scheduled an interview with Liberty Dollar founder Bernard von NotHaus for 5 to 6 p.m. ET today, has rescheduled the interview to this Friday, March 6, at the same time.

Liberty Dollar continues to litigate the U.S. government's seizure of its medallions, metal stock, and stamping equipment, which the government contends was a counterfeiting operation. But the government has yet to charge anyone criminally, suggesting that the government wanted only to put Liberty Dollar out of business, not to enforce criminal law, which probably did not apply in the first place.
