Make the Tennessee Hillbilly howl by helping GATA

Dear Friend of GATA and Gold:

Today's mail brought another note from our friend who calls himself the Tennessee Hillbilly and who on March 3 pledged to match the next $2,000 in contributions to GATA (http://www.gata.org/node/7223). He wanted to know what he owed us.

Sadly I had to tell him: not much. While GATA Chairman Bill Murphy's appeal from the Phoenix Resource Investment Conference on February 20 prompted a good response (http://www.gata.org/node/7185), compassion fatigue seems to have set in soon afterward.

But maybe in light of GATA's achievement today on Bloomberg Television some gold and silver investors and plain old believers in free markets who have not yet decided to help GATA will do so at last when they read what our hillbilly friend has to say. It's appended.

Please remember that GATA is a tax-exempt civil rights and educational organization and that contributions to it are federally tax-deductible in the United States. Information about donating to GATA can be found here:

A MESSAGE FROM TENNESSEE HILLBILLY

Hey, Metalheads!

A month has gone by and the kids are eatin' high on the hog, getting bigger every day. FedEx just deliverd a couple more cases of Fiocchi and Winchester. I love the feel of brass and lead in my hand and the smell of fresh-burnt powder. Life on the river in Tennessee is grand. If I had known this donating thing would cost me so little I would have put out a hundred-grand challenge just to put on the dogs.

Every day at 4 p.m. the double-wide goes into lockdown. I splice into the neighbor's satellite and download the Midas report from LeMetropoleCafe.com. I get a little anxious when the feed runs late. My GATA gold fix ... it means that much to me.

What does it mean to you? Enough to shell out a few bucks? So far this hillbilly ain't doing much howling. You can make me put up and shut up if you will just
lift your right cheek off that Roy Rogers wallet long enough to donate something -- anything -- to the cause. Come on -- this should be a group effort. Give to GATA and make this hillbilly howl!

-- Tennessee Hillbilly
Proud sponsor of the Duck River Challenge
(So far an inexpensive venture)
