We discussed the purchase of International Monetary Fund gold by the Reserve Bank of India, the purchase of gold by the Sri Lankan central bank, the observation by Bloomberg News London bureau chief Mark Gilbert that pervasive government intervention has distorted all markets, and the continuing destruction of the middle class in the United States.
