Dear Friend of GATA and Gold:

In a new essay Hugo Salinas Price -- founder of the Mexican Civic Association for Silver, foremost advocate of returning silver coinage to use as savings and currency in Mexico, and a great hero to GATA -- reflects on the distinction between money and payment. He concludes that the world, using largely the U.S. dollar as a means of exchange, is actually functioning without money, the dollar having become largely imaginary.

Central banks, Salinas Price writes, are becoming dimly aware of this. You may want to act on it before they do.
