speakers at the 2005 Vancouver Resource
Investment Conference on Sunday and Monday,
January 23 and 24, at the beautiful
Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre
on the city's waterfront.
But don't despair if you're almost as tired
of Murphy as you are of the central banks'
rigging the precious metals markets, for
there will be a great lineup of other expert

GATA will have a booth in the exhibit hall
and the first hundred visitors there may be

at least a nice handbill.
Admission to the conference is free if you
register in advance. All you have to do is
find a place to stay nearby. But the
conference has arranged the usual good rate
at the Pan Pacific Hotel adjacent to the
convention center, and for a luxury hotel --
among the most spectacular in the world --
the place is a bargain.

Vancouver is actually pretty tolerable in
the winter -- low 40s (F) during the day --
and even when it's raining or drizzly (which
is most of the time) the city is beautiful,
fun, and as cosmopolitan as any in North
America. And if you don't like that, every
room in the hotel has high-speed Internet
access, so you can just stay in your room
in front of your laptop and enjoy the view
every once in a while.
