GATA will make presentations in March in Singapore and Hong Kong

Dear Friend of GATA and Gold:

Your secretary/treasurer will speak at financial conferences in Singapore and Hong Kong in March.

The one in Singapore is the Mining Investment Asia conference, to be held from Wednesday to Friday, March 18-20, at the Resorts World Convention Centre. U.S. Global Investors CEO Frank Holmes will give the keynote address. Resource companies and government agencies will be exhibiting. Complete information about the conference is posted at its Internet site here:

The one in Hong Kong is the Mines and Money conference, to be held Monday to Friday, March 23 to 27, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Holmes will be speaking there as well, along with Casey Research Founder Doug Casey and Sprott Asset Management executive Peter Grosskopf. Many resource companies will be exhibiting there too. For complete information about the conference, please visit its Internet site here:

While these trips will entail what is for GATA substantial expense, we have had more success getting attention from news organizations in Singapore and Hong Kong than from the government-controlled news media in the West, and it is generally accepted that gold's future will be determined in Asia. Even the World Gold Council acknowledges it:

So it seems to make sense for us to go to the most prospective places. (God Himself could deliver to the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, and Western news agencies detailed and notarized confessions to the U.S. government's gold price suppression policy, signed by the last five secretaries of the treasury and chairmen of the Federal Reserve, and it still would make no difference.)

If you'd like to underwrite GATA's expedition to Asia or GATA's work generally -- and because of the recent devastation of the monetary metals mining industry and its investors we're especially short right now -- please consider making a donation, especially if you have benefited from GATA's work but have not donated previously. Information about donating is posted here:

Circumstances may be breaking in our favor now and we will do whatever we can to hasten them along on behalf of free and transparent markets, limited and accountable government, and fair dealing among nations and people.

CHRIS POWELL, Secretary/Treasurer
Gold Anti-Trust Action Committee Inc.
