J.P. Koning: Does anyone use the IMF's Special Drawing Rights?

Bullion Star's J.P. Koning reports tonight that there actually are some uses after all for the International Monetary Fund's Special Drawing Rights, but not really as money, at least not yet. Rather, Koning writes, the SDR has been incorporated as a monetary index in international conventions and as an accounting device for government-owned corporations, international agencies, and other intergovernmental organizations.
