German government maneuvering again to liquidate Bundesbank''s gold

Dear Friend of GATA and Gold:
Things do seem to keep going more and more our
way. Is the gold price-suppression scheme
coming apart before our very eyes?
Tonight Chris Mullen's Gold Seeker Closing Report
at GoldSeek.com gives a favorable review to the
two-DVD set of the proceedings of GATA's Gold Rush
21 conference:

But then Mullen and GoldSeek always have been
pro-gold and pro-GATA. So more remarkable is that
Resource Investor tonight leads its nightly report
with a long story about the Credit Agricole/Cheuvreux
study endorsing GATA's findings on the rigging of the
gold market by Western central banks:

Of course Resource Investor and its editor, Tim
Wood, formerly of MineWeb, have always disparaged
GATA and suggestions of central bank intervention
against gold. Apparently the story has gotten too
big and credible even for Resource Investor.
There's a lot of speculation about the intent and
impact of the Credit Agricole/Cheuvreau report. Some
people note that Credit Agricole is a big French bank
and that France always has been more supportive of
gold than most Western countries and indeed was
the country that pulled the plug on the London gold
pool 35 years ago by insisting on converting its U.S.
dollar surplus into gold.
Is the Credit Agricole/Cheuvreau report a warning from
or even a blow struck by the French government, just
as some think that Russia has been giving warnings
and striking blows against the gold price-rigging
scheme ever since the speech by the deputy chairman
of the Bank of Russia, Oleg Mozhaiskov, to the London
Bullion Market Association meeting in Moscow in June
2004?

Have Credit Agricole and Cheuvreau already taken
their position in gold and now are "talking their
book"? (Fine by GATA, of course, since we've been
talking gold's book since 1999.)
Will Credit Agricole and Cheuvreau be getting or
have they already gotten some angry telephone
calls from the International Monetary Fund, the
Bank for International Settlements, the U.S.
Treasury Department, and SPECTRE?
Will the United States now notice that France too
has "weapons of mass destruction," and has had
them for a long time?
In light of the Credit Agricole/Cheuvreau report,
are the central banks that have been leasing their
gold to assist the price-suppression scheme
starting to look at each other and ask for their
gold back?
Damned if we know. Just make sure that you've got
YOURS. That may be the highest duty of any citizen
of the world and any believer in liberty. Anything
can happen now.
