Robert K. Landis: Musings on the realms of GLD

Robert K. Landis, partner with Reginald H. Howe in Golden Sextant Advisors, both of them consultants to GATA, has studied the prospectuses of the streetTRACKS Gold Shares fund (GLD), reviewed a lot of gold market history, and concluded in a new essay, "Musings on the Realms of GLD," that the fund well may be a mechanism helpful to the central banks and their agents, the bullion banks, in manipulating the gold market.

Landis also lays out recent evidence of stress in the gold market, like increasing interceptions of substandard gold.
