Another Gold Rush 21 conference is coming, but we need a name

Dear Friend of GATA and Gold:

Two years ago GATA's Gold Rush 21 conference in the Yukon drew international attention to the gold price suppression scheme of the Western central banks and helped to spark the new gold rush. A lot has happened since then -- including the near-doubling of the gold price. But a lot more still has to happen to set the financial world right, so GATA is planning another Gold Rush 21 conference to follow up. It will be held at a hotel and conference center in the Washington, D.C., area on Friday and Saturday, April 18 and 19, 2008.

We'll be sharing details with you shortly. But the purposes of the new conference are:

-- To review the major developments in the gold war since we gathered in Dawson City in August 2005.

-- To explain GATA's campaign to wrest from the U.S. Federal Reserve and Treasury Department the documents that disclose the disposition of U.S. gold reserves.

-- To explain how the gold price suppression scheme has contributed to the crackup of the world financial system.

-- And to show how free markets in gold and the other monetary precious metal, silver, are necessary to fair dealing among individuals and nations alike.

But first we need a name for the conference, and we're asking your help.

There's always "Gold Rush 21 -- The Sequel." But that may be too plain. "Gold Rush 21 -- Reloaded" may be too Hollywood. "Gold Rush 21, Part II -- The Cranks Were Right" may be too conceited. And "Gold Rush 21 1/2 -- The Empire Strikes Out" may be too triumphal. (Besides, some of us were never very good with fractions.)

Surely some GATA supporter can come up with a better name for the new Gold Rush 21 conference. So we're holding a contest to name it, with the winner receiving not only free admission to the conference but also a silver Ron Paul Liberty Dollar, the one-ounce collectible and exchangeable medallion (we mustn't say "coin" here in the Land of the Free) made famous by the FBI's seizure raid on the Liberty Dollar headquarters in Evansville, Indiana, in November. You can view the silver Ron Paul Liberty here:

http://www.libertydollar.org/ld/ronpauldollar

Ron Paul Liberties that left Evansville before the FBI got there are being offered for sale on E-Bay at prices ranging from $49 to $149.

The conference name contest will close at the end of the month -- or sooner if we get a spectacular nomination -- so please put on your thinking caps (even if they're tinfoil) and send your entries to your secretary/treasurer at CPowell@GATA.org.

In the meantime, please note again the conference dates and location -- Friday and Saturday, April 18 and 19, 2008, in Washington, D.C. -- and consider joining us.

Gold Anti-Trust Action Committee Inc.
