GATA's favorite people to speak at New Orleans conference

Section: Daily Dispatches

Dear Friend of GATA and Gold (and Silver):

Your secretary/treasurer will be making a speech, serving on a discussion panel, and answering questions during a more intimate gathering at this year's New Orleans Investment Conference, which will be held Thursday through Sunday, October 8-11. Obliged to perform that much on behalf of GATA's cause, which remains controversial, he would be grateful to have some friends in the audience, the more so since the conference generously offers GATA a commission for every GATA supporter who registers.

Many of GATA's favorite people will be among the speakers in New Orleans, including Frank Holmes, Gene Arensberg, Thom Calandra, Adam Fleming, and Brien Lundin. Also speaking will be Charles Krauthammer, who is, in your secretary/treasurer's opinion, the best newspaper columnist and public intellectual in America.

So may we impose on you to check out a little promotion for the conference that has been posted at GATA's Internet site? You'll find it here:

Let's meet in New Orleans. No financial conference in America is more informative and provocative -- or more fun.

CHRIS POWELL, Secretary/Treasurer
Gold Anti-Trust Action Committee Inc.
