Dear Friend of GATA and Gold:

Building on the painstaking technical analysis
of Dr. Henry Clawar, Dmitri Speck has written
an essay, complete with charts, at
www.Gold-Eagle.com that details how and when
the gold price has been manipulated in New York.
This is Part I. His conclusions in Part 2 will
be interesting. You can find the essay here:

Dear Friend of GATA and Gold:

A new essay at www.theminingweb.com by Paul Liquorish
analyzes cycles in the gold price to predict a major rise in
April. But it is more interesting to us for its taking note of
GATA's work in South Africa. It's more evidence that, with
your help, we are making a difference.

As I prepared to board the South African Airways plane
to return home to Dallas, Texas, after my 2 1/2-week
